Mighty Monarch by LydiaRhianne Mighty Monarch by LydiaRhianne
Monarch butterfly at the Tucson Botanical Garden in Arizona. I never realized they had white spots on their bodies before this photo! :D

LOVE it! I think the underside? of their wings are just as pretty as when they're open, so much detail, beautiful work

Thank you! I had a hard time getting photos of the butterflies with their wings open, but I was surprised at how different some of their undersides looked compared to the 'top view.' :)

Oh, I feel your pain on that one. I went to the Butterfly house this weekend and it was really difficult to get a shot of their wings open. So, I have posted one with the wings closed too. But, I find it more interesting to be able to see the amazing detail from the underside. Congrats again on a lovely image!
