A cheetah at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. She had just finished sprinting after a lure, so she was tired, but purring like crazy - I think she was very appreciative of the large bowl of raw meat she received after her running demonstration! Cat species can either purr or roar, which means lions are unable to purr. Her purr was quite different from that of a typical house-cat and very fun to hear!

I would've loved to as well. The trainer said it's actually illegal to pet one... and also said that their fur is quite wiry, instead of soft like a house-cat. I still wanted to go hug the cheetah and pet her though, especially since the cheetah was licking her trainer like crazy and seemed to want some attention. :D
